Romantic Spring Lace

I’m back! I had to take a little break from blogging but was able to collect some content throughout the month that I’m excited to share. This month I adopted another kitty and it has been taking up my time!

Romantic Lace Wrap

For today’s look, I really wanted to showcase this piece from Fahsion Nova that is supposed to be a wrap dress. As you can see in the pictures, I didn’t wear it as a wrap dress because I failed miserably at figuring out how to wrap it into a dress. BUT it actually worked out in my favor because it makes for a nice cardigan or outer layer. I made it my own by styling it this way and love the romantic touch it adds. It reminded me of wearing a silk robe, except one that is acceptable to wear outdoors.

Transitional Silk Slip

The silky slip beneath the lace is actually a piece from Fall/Winter and one that I have featured before! However this time, I styled it in a way I think is perfect for a Spring day or night. Also, this dress is too cute to only wear once. I was always fond of this slip dress trend and hope it doesn’t go away any time soon because they are so comfortable and easy to wear! To complete the look, I paired it with some classic ankle strap sandals that have a color-blocked detail. To keep the focus on the dress & wrap I kept the shoes and accessories very minimal.

To be honest, I think this look totally reflects my personal style. There are times I just want to wear all black or go for a more street style outfit, but I will always have an affinity for a romantic look. Maybe it’s because I watched Beauty and The Beast recently that reawakened this inspiration.. which by the way was AMAZING. I should stop there or else this will totally become a 5 star movie review if I keep going lol!

Til next time,
